I am a 30+ year old designer from Sydney, Australia. I love art, craft, sewing and web/mobile/graphic design and illustration and am also a big music fan - especially 70's rock and local Australian (rocknroll) bands. I have a husband, a 3 year old daughter and a 1 year old son.
I don't update my site like I used to with Hellcity. No more band photos as I don't go out like I used to now that I have Rosie and Leo. The most updating will appear in my blog
Hellcity History
Hellcity was on the web since 1998. It died in 2007.
It started out on xoom (like geocities) and then moved to candysweet in that same year. Initially I just had my portfolio and resume on there, then I added my 'news' (before blogs existed) then it grew haphazardly over the years. I had the same design since about 1999 and never changed it!
The name 'Hellcity' came from two things - 1. It's a great song by one of my favourite bands The Supersuckers (Hell city, hell), and; 2. It's a play on my name Helen and always being called 'Hel', and having my own place on the web, in this case being a city!
I have met some great people over the years through having the site, had fun times with it, and my band photographs have also received a lot of exposure.
